Over the past four years, the Council of Agriculture has achieved its goals in three main areas:
(1) Completion of the four major farmers’ insurance systems;
(2) Comprehensive upgrading of the basic environment for agriculture, while making Taiwan a zone free of foot and mouth disease and keeping African swine fever outside of our territory;
(3) Organization of a national team for exports of Taiwan agriproducts and improvement of industrial competitiveness, enabling Taiwan agriproducts to set a new high record for exports over the past 20 years.

In the future we will continue to work on:
(a) Adoption of adjustment policies for protection of farmland and in response to climate change;
(b) Ensuring that farmers have a certain income while driving supply and market sales channels;
(c) Ensuring that consumers have access to high-quality and abundant agriproducts.
