When the rhythm of the fishing harbor meets Beatbox, fisheries and human rights become a powerful song of courage, dignity and solidarity.
This 180-second cinematic music video features singer-songwriter and Beatbox artist ECHO Lee Chang-Chun, who also wrote and composed the song. The film is directed by emerging Taiwanese director Kai-Wei Liang, whose work spans film, advertising and concert visuals. In recent years, he has also actively explored AI-assisted visual creation, bringing a dynamic, cinematic and internationally oriented visual language to the production.
Through music, dance and real-life scenes, the film transforms important issues—including fishers’ rights, working conditions and social welfare—into an engaging and memorable story. Filmed at Kaohsiung’s Cianjhen Fishing Port and the Cianjhen Fishermen Service Center, it captures migrant fishers and their Taiwanese partners working side by side, while highlighting sincere and warm exchanges across cultures.
“I’m Fisherman” is more than a chorus—it expresses the courage of everyone who works at sea and keeps moving forward through every wave. Every act of understanding and support helps create a safer, fairer and more respectful life at sea, while showing the world the continued progress of Taiwan’s fisheries.
