The green onion fields of Sanxing Township in Yilan County lie close to the foot of Mt. Xue. Young farmers returned home to grow green onions from scratch, undeterred by difficulties. They faced the risk of failure from root rot, so they improved the environment for plants and planted green onion seedlings deeply. Through continual effort and persistence, they grew refreshing, sweet tasting, and beautiful Sanxing green onions.
