Brief Introduction of Forestry Research Institute in 2002

Located in Nanhai Park, Taipei City, the Forestry Research Institute has existed for a century since its foundation in 1898. Previously, the institute mainly committed to afforestation, breeding and seedling cultivation experiment. After enduring great hardships in pioneer work, the institute has also conducted proper forestry researches for environmental and ecological protection according to forestry policies and social development trends during different periods.
