Insect Specimen Collection - Active Collection

Collection methods for flying insects or soil insects from terrestrial habitats or aquatic habitats in daytime or nighttime are totally different. Several common active manual collection methods are listed as following - collection with net, tapping collection and collection with sucker. And the collection net includes catching net, sweep net and water net. The methods should be adopted based on specific behaviors of insects.
